My wife and I visited London during our eurotrip and before leaving London we stopped by at this place.
I had a chorizo and egg sandwich, apple pie with custard, and a latte. My wife had a veggie omelette and coffee. We were pleasantly surprised with this place. The service felt homey, the service was attentive, the atmosphere felt local. And the price was great. -

This is a perfect place for a full English or a nice cup of coffee. I have been visiting this place now for over 10 years and never understood why people would go to coffee shops when they would get a proper Italian cappuccino at only £2 here. The full English was getting more expansive over time but at £7 including a hot drink is still a very good deal as is shown by many builders going to this place and mixing up with local office workers like myself. There is also a very personal feel to this place with the iconic owner and most staff being there for years if not decades.
Within its category (Italian coffee bar and sandwich shop) this is 5 out of 5 for me! -

Delicious light lunches and friendly service in a light airy setting for a very reasonable price.

Great place to grab a hot sandwitch! The staff there is warm and welcoming. Feels family like. Prices are surprisingly decent. Don't miss out!

If you walk into a grill & snack bar and the first sounds out of you are, mmmm, aaaaah, oooooh, you need to get yourself a seat and get ordering. This busy lunch time diner had a sensational selection of fantastic looking sandwich fillings. Huge chicken kebabs, special tuna mixes, and a plethora of differently marinated chicken that looked divine. My eyes floated and saw pie. Cherry pie, apple pie, so much sweet goodness. Then I saw the grilled goods. Mixed grills, roast chicken and chips, homemade burgers... Wow, wow, wow! As I start to drool, I knew I had to make a quick decision. I went for the burger with an orange juice.
When my juice arrived, I found myself looking at something I've never seen before. This wasn't orange drink, it wasn't juice from concentrate, it wasn't even freshly squeezed; no, this was liquidized oranges in a glass. It was awesome!
When my burger arrived, complete with fries, salad, soft sesame seed bun and decidedly homemade looking meat mound, I went T-rex on the thing. I was in my element. It was tasty baby! The meal cost me £5.50, the juice was £2. Will I be back at Silva's with her cheap awesome food, great atmosphere and super service? You bet your ass I will.
